But that’s where the “signature style” ends. Because no cake ever starts with a fixed idea at The Kilted Cake Company. Some couples come with screenshots, saved posts and very clear ideas. Others come with nothing at all except “we want something special”. Both are perfect. We talk it through, pull bits from here and there, strip things back where needed, and build something that actually fits your day. That’s what bespoke means to me. Not choosing from past designs. G R A N D E U R ✨🕊️ Jade & Paul’s wedding cake, s G R A N D E U R ✨🕊️ Jade & Paul’s wedding cake, set in the Ballroom at Turnberry, was all about presence without being overpowering. Jade was drawn to vintage buttercream cakes with impactful detailing, but in a space this grand, it needed to still be refined. I spent time sourcing and testing moulds that could reflect that old-world texture, then stripped the detail right back so it felt elegant rather than extravagant. To give the cake real stature, we opted for taller tiers on the middle and base. That extra height meant it could hold its own in the Ballroom and feel like it was meant for the space. Paired with the white cube plinth and abundant fresh florals from Muse, the final setup felt elegant in every way. When it came to their wedding cake flavours, Jade & Paul opted for Chocolate for the top and bottom tiers, followed by Vanilla, Salted Caramel & Flake for the middle tier. Working closely with Jade throughout meant the finished cake felt personal, thoughtful and completely right for the setting.
