Hello and welcome! I’m Alison and The Kilted Cake Company is my beautiful business which was founded in 2015 after long careers in both the NHS and Financial Services. I stay in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire with my husband, two daughters and our completely spoilt Golden Labrador. My location makes me ideally situated to serve and deliver wedding cakes all across Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayrshire and right across Scotland.
I have many fond memories as a child watching both my mum and gran bake and cook in the kitchen. I was always really nosey and keen to see what was going on. I wanted to be right in the thick of it, everything just interested me so much. It didn’t matter what was getting baked I just wanted to be a part of it. On baking days, getting to lick the bowl was always the goal between me and my siblings. There was nothing better than grabbing a spoon for the small amount of cake mix that was left…. It was the ultimate treat!
I am a completely self taught baker, always striving to be the best, provide the best and deliver the absolute best for all of my wedding couples. I have invested a lot into making sure that both my skills and knowledge serve my wedding clientele to offer both the very best product and service.

Wedding Cakes are my absolute passion, I just absolutely love making them and seeing them all come together is incredibly special. My favourite cakes to make are those that have a clean modern and contemporary feel incorporating texture, metallics, silk ribbons, wafer paper and have arrangements of dried, fresh flowers or a mix off them!
I am incredibly proud that The Kilted Cake Company is an award winning wedding cake company. My Wedding cake business is well known and established right across Scotland and I am a preferred Wedding Cake supplier at some of the very best independent and exclusive use Scottish Wedding Venues in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayrshire and Perthshire and I deliver to wedding venues all across Scotland. I am also very privileged to work alongside some of Scotland’s best Luxury Wedding Planners delivering exceptional cakes for their international couples.
I work with a maximum of two couples per week allowing me to offer a premium service. You will quickly realise that I have your absolute best interests at heart and will make designing and planning your wedding cake as stress free as I possibly can. I am completely honest and upfront with all my couples, it’s the best way to be so you have absolutely nothing to worry about, you are in very safe hands as I guide and help you to create your beautiful wedding cake!

My Beautiful cake studio
My beautiful cake studio is located at my home in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire and has absolutely everything I need in order to bake, make and decorate your wedding cake in.
It was purposely built so I made sure during the planning and design stage that is really was a home from home. Somewhere that would be warm and welcoming and of course comfortable for working in. There is a bake side, a huge island in the middle which is perfect for admin days and for decorating your wedding cake on. A display side with lots of my display wedding cakes so you can get a feel for size, look and possible decoration options. It really has got everything in.
If you are able to travel to see me for your design consultation, which is normally held 4-6 months before your wedding day, I will warmly invite you to come and see me here – Don’t worry of you can’t travel to me we can always speak via Zoom for you to see it!
