As an award-winning wedding cake studio in Scotland, I proudly established The Kilted Cake Company in 2015, and have since had the pleasure of working with couples across Scotland, the UK and beyond to bring distinction to the wedding industry.

She was so knowledgeable and guided us through the process while keeping our budget in mind. We went for a 3 layer cake, with a marble bottom tier and cascading flowers. Alison sent us sketches to help us imagine the final look. However, I couldn’t have imagined it would look as good as it did. The florals perfectly matched the icing colour! It was simple, modern, clean and just beautiful.
Then we got to taste it… Every layer was so delicious and so moist. A week later, we’ve followed Alison’s instructions on how to store it and it is still perfect. Having founded The Kilted Cake Company almost a decade ago after a long career in the NHS as a midwife, my story has been encouraged by fond memories as a child watching my mother and gran bake in the kitchen. An unrelenting fascination for anything baking-related gradually developed and this is perhaps the very reason behind where I am today.
As a self-taught baker, I always strive to be the best, providing couples with an unbeatable service, seamless experience and the opportunity to let imaginations run wild. I draw inspiration from almost anywhere – whether that’s incorporating the essence of your bridal accessories into your designs or weaving in your floral details throughout the layers. My designs embrace texture, metallics, silk ribbons, wafer paper, dried flowers, fresh florals and so much more. From the moment you step into the studio, the ideas become limitless, with the attitude that anything is possible.
Working with a limited number of couples per year to ensure you and your wedding cake have the attention you deserve; The Kilted Cake Company promises a passionate service that is hard to find elsewhere.
